It will be opened by Simon Jenkins at 12 noon on the 17th.
The fair features modern and contemporary art from the UK but has a significant number of dealers who specialise in work from China, India, Japan, Russia, Poland, Serbia and the Ukraine.
However, art from a whole host of other countries will also be on show. Artists include Matisse, Miró, Picasso and Chagall (all works on paper), urban art from the States, MF Husain, one of India’s most sought after living artists, plus British 20th century favourites such as Henry Moore, David Hockney, Mary Fedden et al, together with many emerging and less well known artists whose work will be there to be discovered and enjoyed.
The fair, now in its fifth year, has carved out a place for itself in the arts calendar and such is the demand for stands, the organisers are taking more space at the Royal College, bringing the total number of stands up to 60.
Included will be oils, original prints, watercolours, drawings plus some photography, sculpture and ceramics – ranging from 1900 to the present day. The price range is from a few hundred upwards.
Recent research has shown that society in the UK is now more cosmopolitan than ever. This diversity is reflected in today’s art scene in general, and in the 20|21 International Art Fair, in particular.
